Stage 1 | Reflect & Connect

This is where we prefer to start! Our individual reflection and sharing with others can help to begin our journey toward psychological safety. These three Sessions are designed to ensure we have the skills to create psychological safety in everything we do, empower us to share our stories and guide us toward the conditions that will help us learn this new skill.

Session 1: Invite. Share. Listen. | CONSISTENTLY CREATE THE CONDITIONS FOR PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY

Session 2: The Aspens | SHARE STORIES TO CREATE PERSONAL CONNECTIONS

Session 3: Mentality. Motivation. Environment. | IDENTIFY THE LEARNING CONDITIONS WHERE YOU THRIVE

Stage 2 | Activate Daily

We have now learned how to invite alternative perspectives, create personal connections across our team and foster the conditions that will best support our journey toward psychological safety. Now we can begin to demonstrate psychological safety in everything we do at work. The invitation for new ideas, sharing of best practices and support through challenges can show up as we prioritize our work effort, during feedback and coaching.

Session 4: Do. Delay. Delegate. Drop. | PRIORITIZE EFFORT FOR IMPACT & HAPPINESS

Session 5: Confirm. Celebrate. Invite. | PROVIDE BALANCED & EFFECTIVE FEEDBACK

Session 6: G.R.O.W. | COACH FOR ONGOING SUCCESS & GROWTH

Stage 3 | Dive deeper

At this stage, we are becoming more comfortable and adept at creating psychologically safe spaces at work. We start to see the benefits of open communication. Each individual feels more heard and continues to improve. The team is working more closely, celebrating their successes to lift others and helping each other when they are able. And the company is seeing increased success as the teams achieve more of their goals. For those who feel sufficient psychological safety, they can reflect further on how their personal experience and identity impact their comfort at work. This Session will likely feel more sensitive to some, so we encourage attending other Sessions before Circles of Disconnect.

Session 7: CIRCLES OF DISCONNECT | CONSIDER THE IMPACT OF EXPERIENCE & IDENTITY ON SAFETY
